7. Your Man

“What a wonderful voice this young man has! You would not expect such a deep and luscious voice when you look at the photo of Josh, but it is fabulous. Great tracks, obviously including the title track, Your Man and the very amusing Loretta Lynn’s Lincoln. Absolutely great.”

6. Punching Bag

“I really love this album! Its real country music from the heart! I think this is my favorite album of his; its just one great song after another. “Time is love” is perfect (I played this one for months on replay), “Cold shoulder” is classic, great country music, “For the love of God” and “I was there” are beautiful songs of faith. This is an all around great album!”

5. Long Black Train

“What an amazingly sexily voice. Lots of great songs on this CD. I can’t seem to get enough of his awesomely deep voice. He’s a great singer and I love the fact that he’s a man of God and a devoted family man.”

4. Haywire

“Not disappointed, but kinda what I expected. There’s nothing as strong as the kick-ass opener and lead-of-single “Why Don’t We Just Dance” here, but some very nice ballads and more cool songs with some hangers between. His voice does the trick and makes him this generation’s Don Williams. The songs are pretty much feel-good songs too, without much despair or suffering that real Honky-Tonk needs, but it’s still a good, traditional Country album”

3. Everything Is Fine

“Josh Turner is the Mr Nice Guy of contemporary country; at the same time he’s part of the trend towards a more traditional, rootsier, Acuff/Williams music (cf Dierks Bentley, Eric Church, Gary Allan etc). He’s also a fine songwriter and picker of songs. This is about as good as mainstream country gets these days. Everything is, indeed, fine here.”

2. Deep South

“Finally, after five years Josh Turner has released an all new album. In my opinion it is a great album. If you’ve enjoyed Josh Turner’s previous five albums, you will enjoy this one. “Lay low” and “small town girl” have been singles on the radio. I like both of them. I also like the song “I wonder”. I think it would be a great single. I hope there is much more music to come from Josh Turner in the near future.”

1. Country State Of Mind

“I asked you, does Josh Turner make a bad album? He is made a great album here. I have collected nearly all of his albums over the years and love all of them. I would highly recommend this album to anyone who loves traditional sounding country. Stranger to The rain is probably one of my favorite on the album.”
