LUNG bring three decades of noise-rock fury to ‘Isolated Gun’ video
New Zealand underground veterans LUNG have unveiled a new video for ‘Isolated Gun’, capturing the visceral live energy that has remained central to the band throughout their career.
Taken from their 2026 album Fog, the track combines grinding bass from James Woods, the hypnotic drumming of Zak White and frontman Dave White’s abrasive eruptions of guitar. It also reaches directly into LUNG’s history, pairing words originally heard on 1991 debut Cactii with rhythmic ideas drawn from 2024 album Cancer.
The accompanying visual is every bit as spontaneous. Filmmaker Alan Beere of TrustFundKid111 shot the performance in the hallway of White’s Wellington home, wrapping filming in under 30 minutes before completing the edit later that day.
More than three decades after emerging from New Zealand’s underground, ‘Isolated Gun’ shows LUNG remain every bit as committed to immediacy, volume and doing things their own way.
