4.North (2012)

“This album is full of gems from the fun and wicked “She’s So Mean” to the sweet “overjoyed” which I play on repeat, such subtle, everyday stuff that feels so big when it happens to you. Eloquently stated and without the grandiose statement love often invites, makes it that much more brilliant. “I cannot overstate it, I would be overjoyed”. Love it! I listen to the album through and through. The sound is cohesive but each song noteworthy in its own right. Would definitely recommend.”

3.More Than You Think You Are (2002)

“The music on this album is highly superior quality music. It represents diverse styles and feels, and Matchbox Twenty successfully writes and performs each song with depth, intensity, and just perfect. Rob Thomas uses his voice in so many different ways, yet always strong, clear, and just a joy to listen to. The lyrics beautifully express the spectrum from sensuality to sexuality to pensiveness to straight-ahead fun. And Rob and company blend the music and lyrics and the always dynamic performance to offer a fantastic collection. From the fun of “Disease” and “Feel” to the poeticism of “The Difference” and “Bright Lights”, the honesty of this music shines through in many facets.”

2.Mad Season (2000)

“It is often hard for any group with such a blockbuster premier release to live up to the expectations for their second release. Many artists copycat their previous success, or others try to go in a completely different direction. With “Mad Season”, Matchbox 20 has managed to beat the odds – this album shows that they have staying power. The music in this release is more innovative, yet still gives us what we love about this group. “Mad Season” is a MUST for Matchbox 20 fans…My favorites are Bent (of course), If You’re Gone, Mad Season, and Bed of Lies. Actually, I couldn’t find a song I DIDN’T like! Great job…”

1.Yourself or Someone Like You (1996)

“One of the best albums in my collection, every track is wicked, buy this album! Stand out tracks are 3am, long day and back to good but every track is really good! If you like this check out Tabitha’s Secret which was their first band name before matchbox 20 some of their songs are similar to this album and they have the same singer!”
