Mock Media announce new album Rat Bastard with chaotic title-track
Art-punk agitators Mock Media return with news of their upcoming album Rat Bastard, landing July 17 via Mac’s Record Label, alongside its unruly title-track.
‘Rat Bastard’ is a wired, tongue-in-cheek blast of off-kilter rock that feels deliberately scrappy. There’s a loose, garage-pop immediacy at play, but beneath it sits a sharper instinct for melody and chaos. Frontman Evan Aasen leans into the band’s mischievous streak, framing the track as a reflection of the reckless side everyone tries to ignore.
Sonically, Mock Media continue to resist easy categorisation, folding everything from punk abrasion to global rhythms into something that feels restless and unpredictable.
