Perennial charge towards new album ‘Modernism’ with ‘Ready! Steady! Go!’

Connecticut trio Perennial have unleashed their latest single ‘Ready! Steady! Go!’, continuing the countdown to new album Modernism, arriving September 18 through Ernest Jenning Record Co. and Safe Suburban Home in the UK.

Built around the breathless intensity that has become central to Perennial’s identity, the track offers another snapshot of a band capable of packing an extraordinary amount into remarkably little space. Punk urgency meets mod swagger and dancefloor momentum, reflecting a sound informed by everything from The Who and MC5 to Otis Redding, Stereolab and Le Tigre.

Formed in 2015 by Chad Jewett, Chelsey Hahn and Ceej Wolf, Perennial have developed a devoted following through short, ferocious live performances and a restless approach to recording. Working once again with longtime producer Chris Teti, the group have increasingly expanded their palette to incorporate organ, electronic experimentation, jazz, dub and studio manipulation.
