“Love this song. Please tell people to stop trying to cover this song!!! Ya done! They mix it all wrong Love when Calvin Harris and Sam Smith collab!!”

14. Fire on Fire (Love Goes, 2020)

“The differences are there, sure but the animation is highly detailed and the way it is portrayed makes it easy to follow, and helps those who have not read the book to follow along. The soundtrack is tip top in quality and is well written, this song plays as the credits song for each episode and is amazing.”

13. Drowning Shadows (In the Lonely Hour, 2014)

“There is so much that I do like about Sam Smith. Not only is he a great singer, but he has had some of the most remarkable songs for generation that really does not even know what music really should be. Since he came out last years, the bulk of the songs he had came out with really are good, and not considered cheap at the soul.”

12. I’ve Told You Now (In the Lonely Hour, 2014)

“Maybe he’s telling a story of the day he confessed his feelings. He’s frustrated from “walking in the heat all day with no water”, then waiting for a long time for the friend to show up, then getting into an argument and he can’t express why he’s mad. Maybe the friend is taking him and what he does for granted. He’s been tip toeing around the subject of love for this friend, but now, the levee has broken and it all comes out. This is a literal translation of the song, I know”

“I think that this is one of his more less known songs but IT SHOULD BE KNOWN! It’s such a great song. I think it would suit the soundtrack of a movie well – he’s also done the Bond themeâ€Ĥ”

1. I’m Not the Only One (In The Lonely Hour, 2014)

“This is my personal favorite, because of the piano, the beat and the AMAZING chorus. But, that’s not all. Last but not least, the lyrics. This song is very clever. He doesn’t straight up say his lover is cheating on him, but he says, “when you call me baby, I know I’m not the only one.””
