10. My Skin (Big Grrrl Small World, 2015)

“It really goes to show that incredible talent transcends the physical and will rise up out of any adversity placed upon us by society. I just love her music. It’s honest, it’s fun, great beat! Keep doing your thing Lizzo. Don’t sell out..”

9. Bus Passes and Happy Meals (Lizzobangers, 2013)

“Lizzo’s music is a new form of alternative rap. Not many people know her yet(but she’s getting there) because her music doesn’t sound like this main stream crap that’s being played on top 40 nowadays. Her sound is more reminiscent of 90’s hip hop, like Missy and Busta in my opinion. I also see her Prince, with the showmanship, influences. She showcases big girl body positivity, and adds a sort of band camp geekiness with her flute routines.”

8. Heaven Help Me (Cuz I Love You, 2019)

“I really enjoyed Lizzo’s sparky, feisty vision of pop/rap,classic soul and funky disco. Her personality shines right through and even though its themes of self love and empowerment are to the fore she never lets it get close to being preachy, there is plenty of humour and filth applied here. I love the flute at the end!

7. Exactly How I Feel (Cuz I Love You, 2019)

“Amazing songwriting, lyrics that make sense and hold a strong message while still sounding amazing as music, beautiful instrumentation, a disgracefully versatile voice, F U N K Y rhythms, stunning production, and I could go on but.. wow. I can’t believe I put off listening to this, assuming I’d hate it because of its audience.”

4. Boys (Cuz I Love You, 2019)

“I didn’t know this was a genuine song. It’s actually pretty good, never heard it on the radio. It makes me, as a young man, feel really good about myself. She’s a beautiful woman.”

3. Juice (Cuz I Love You, 2019)

“The fact that she doesn’t give a damn when someone tries to be negative to her and her songs are about self-love and positivity just makes me respect her and love her and her music more”

2. Cuz I Love You (Cuz I Love You, 2019)

“I like the song. She makes me feel like an independent person and I think that just really inspires people to come out of their comfort zone and things like that. The reason I give it a 4 star is because I just feel like there is just no white people in it and like just black people. I mean like I’m not trying to be racist and even I’m black myself so yeah. But yeah you get the point. Overall a great song and thank you for taking time out of your day to read this and listen to my opinion. It means a lot.”
