Soft No channel a 90s energy on new single ‘Probably Fine’

Philadelphia outfit Soft No continue their evolution with ‘Probably Fine’, a standout cut from their forthcoming EP Super Neutral.

Leaning into a more urgent, high-tempo direction, the track swaps dreamy haze for punchy immediacy; built on elastic basslines, bright synth textures and a driving rhythm that nods to late-night alternative radio nostalgia. There’s a clear shift in vocal delivery too, with frontwoman Allison Lannutti pushing her voice to cut cleanly through the dense instrumentation, adding a sharper, more confrontational edge.

Despite its energy, ‘Probably Fine’ carries an undercurrent of unease, with abstract, introspective lyrics hinting at disorientation and emotional instability beneath the surface.

Recorded at Headroom Studios with producer Mark Watter, the track captures a band fully leaning into collaboration and experimentation.
