Sydney’s young punk trio REVERSE REVOLUTION breaks out with unstoppable energy on new EP ‘Bonjour Aliens’

There’s something undeniably thrilling about watching raw enthusiasm collide with talent, and few acts capture that collision quite like Sydney’s REVERSE REVOLUTION. With ages ranging from 11 to 13, this trio has turned playground-level energy into a polished, yet chaotic, punk-rock debut in their EP ‘Bonjour Aliens’, delivering a snapshot of youth in full sprint.

The EP thrives in its relatability. Young love, fleeting friendships, and the everyday absurdities of growing up (plus the occasional nod to Fortnite and Mario Kart) paint a vivid portrait of a generation navigating life at high speed. There’s no pretense here: these are stories lived, screamed, and sung with a sincerity that belies their age.

Even in quieter passages, there’s an undercurrent of movement, a refusal to sit still. It’s punk stripped to its essence: immediacy over perfection, emotion over calculation. And yet, thanks to guidance from indie producer Kyle Charles Hall, there’s a production polish that allows the EP to shine without losing its edge.

For a band still busking to fund their recordings, REVERSE REVOLUTION demonstrates a remarkable command over their craft.

‘Bonjour Aliens’ is a promise of what’s to come, a testament to youthful passion harnessed into something electrifying. If this is the beginning, the Australian punk scene might want to start paying attention.
