9. Mystery

“Mystery has a really emotional chorus and it may cause you to cry a lot (especially since Ronnie James Dio died almost a decade ago, R.I.P) But other than that this song is really good. The guitar really fits the song perfectly and it also puts a smile on my face and the drums are great like always.”

8. Eat Your Heart Out

“Eat Your Heart Out is a rather odd song. The lyrics have always weirded me out but in a good way. The guitar really fits the lyrical content of the song and so do the drums. The song is still good, but it’s a little weird and Dio’s vocals also fit into that category of “Weird”

7. Breathless

“This song is good, but maybe a bit too standard for the Dio band. Viv does a great solo though. About all the other songs, there are not too many highlights here… Breathless is a typical Dio song, an average number. “

6. Evil Eyes

“Evil Eyes has more energy than the previous track and it’s also a really catchy one. It sounds like a hard rock song you’d here in a 80s night club despite this song not being hard rock. Dio’s vocals are at the best here as they’re really fun to sing along to and the drums and guitar are also really great. A really underrated song overall.”

5. I Speed at Night

“I Speed at Night: Great great lyrics. I tend to like “epic” songs more than uptempo ones, so this song does have it’s odd against it. Given those circumstances, it holds up great. Still a bit too speedy for me”

4. One Night In the City

“This is a GREAT GREAT live song. I can listen to this, live version or studio, over and over again without getting tired of it. If I had been in charge, this would have been the hit single. Not that it’s my absolute favorite, but it is the best fit for a single if you ask me. The way Viv goes from his fast riff to the verse riff reminds me of Tony Iommi’s incredible ability to shift riffs with such a magnificent feeling and precision. I really like the keyboards here too.”

3. Egypt (The Chains Are On)

“Egypt (The Chains Are On) is one of the best heavy metal songs ever made. This is the real bohemian rhapsody of metal and NOT A Little Piece Of Heaven. That song (and Avenged Sevenfold in general) sucks. This, on the other hand, is pure awesomeness. It has the perfect pace, the instrumental break is amazing, Dio’s vocals are out of this world and the guitar and drums are amazing!”

2. We Rock

“We Rock is a fantastic opener and it’s also a great way to introduce someone to Dio. It’s arguably one of his most underrated songs of all time, because fans seem to forget about this one. Everything about this opener is fantastic, the drums, the guitar, and even Ronnie’s vocals. It’s a great song that should be heard by every metal fan, regardless of you are more into death/black metal.”

1. The Last in Line

“The Last In Line isn’t as heavy as the previous track but still a very memorable track. It has that nice soft atmosphere that I really enjoy and the drums fit perfectly with the song. The guitar work is also really superb and really fits Dio’s vocals (which are also really comforting to listen to) Overall a great, relaxing track.”
