20. Five On the Five (2006-10-23: Rock City, Nottingham, UK, 2006)

“It’s fresh even today because the greatest compliment to love is dying together and the haunting backbeat and soft guitar rhythm make this sing out. Definitely my number one.”

19. Hands (2006-10-23: Rock City, Nottingham, UK, 2006)

“I cannot seem to have enough of this song. It makes me feel alive. I find some kind of bliss and happiness in the sad lyrics. It’s one of my favourite travel songs.”

18. Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down) (2006-10-23: Rock City, Nottingham, UK, 2006)

“It is like there is less singing in the song because they’re trying out different beats to make this song as catchy and creative as possible. Which is good and smart for the Smiths don’t get me wrong.”

17. Sunday Driver (Help Us Stranger, 2019)

“Makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up… Which is the greatest thing a piece of music can do. At first I hated it. Now I like it. The lyrics make this song great too. Words for how much I love this song haven’t been invented yet.”

16. Attention (Consolers of the Lonely, 2008)

“I love this song and have always loved it. Usually doesn’t get in lists of the best Raconteurs songs. It’s hard for me to see why. The drumming is so hypnotic. Lyrics are great (as always).”

15. Floating (Floating, 2006)

“This song has helped me through so much. It’s beautiful and perfect in every way. I think that this song is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever heard. This song always calms me down when I can’t sleep. “

14. Yellow Sun (2006-10-23: Rock City, Nottingham, UK, 2006)

“This is their best song and maybe even the best song ever. The lyrics are captivating, the riff is memorable, and his voice is mysterious. This is one of the best Raconteurs songs most definitely.”

13. Blue Veins (2006-10-23: Rock City, Nottingham, UK, 2006)

“The opening punches you in the face with some genius guitar and bass and the great musicianship continues throughout the whole song. The lyrics are simple yet some of the best has ever written. Everything about this song is great.”

12. Carolina Drama (Consolers of the Lonely 2008)

“I literally don’t understand how this song is so low. Without a doubt should be at the top. From Jack’s hauntingly beautiful voice to the amazing instrumentals throughout and a thrilling, open-ended, ambiguous story. Should be top three just from the la la la la alone.”

11. Together (2006-10-23: Rock City, Nottingham, UK, 2006)

“This is an incredibly driven song which deserves classic status; sometimes it’s my all-time favourite song. Fascinating song, I am surprised it hasn’t already been mentioned definitely needs to be in the top 10.”

10. You Don’t Understand Me (Consolers of the Lonely, 2008)

“With its smart, thoughtful and relatable lyrical content, accompanied with some awesome piano playing from the start to finish, this tune certainly deserves to be in the top 5 at least. I absolutely love this song”

9. Top Yourself (Consolers of the Lonely, 2008)

“This is the best I’ve never heard this type of guitar riff. This song has the best song of The Raconteurs. The drumming is so hypnotic. The lyrics are great (as always). My top ten songs of all time.”

8. Level (2006-10-23: Rock City, Nottingham, UK, 2006)

“I cannot seem to have enough of this song. It makes me feel alive. I find some kind of bliss and happiness in the sad lyrics. It’s one of my favourite travel songs. This song has the most universal message of the portfolio, really meaningful.”

7. Old Enough (Consolers of the Lonely, 2008)

6. Consolers of the Lonely (Consolers of the Lonely, 2008)

“Song is really awesome. Best one no doubt. Refreshingly different, this song kicks ass. It is like there is less singing in the song because they’re trying out different beats to make this song as catchy and creative as possible.”

5. Broken Boy Soldier (Broken Boy Soldier, 2006)

“Fantastic song with a powerful eerie quality to it. My favorite song by the Raconteurs. It’s really catchy! Broken Boy Soldiers is Jack White’s first album after the demise of the White Stripes. The fresh start and collaboration with songwriting partner Brenden Benson have reinvigorated him. The album at times reminds you of the White Stripes at their peak, such as in the catchy rocker Steady As She Goes.”

4. The Switch and the Spur (Consolers of the Lonely, 2008)

“So epic, well written, varied and, generally, amazing. The first sound bite was the title track and It was an eye-opener. Good very familiar guitar riff. Well as I do every Thursday I go through all the major print adds as well as all the elec adds. Since this was my first to listen to it’s on my list.

3. Salute Your Solution (Consolers of the Lonely, 2008)

“An overall great song. I cannot think of another song by thins group (or any other) that compares to this song in any way. To bad the white stripes broke up they where one of the few groups on par with this one.”

2. Many Shades of Black (Consolers of the Lonely, 2008)

“If there is a true musical artist that is transcendent in this generation, it’s Jack White. The Raconteurs just adds another facet to his remarkable body of work by creating a band with the most talented musicians he could find; his friends, Brendan Benson, Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler. The Raconteurs grew organically from like-minded, creative artists who enjoy each other’s company. They are one of the best bands and, hopefully, will be producing music for many years to come.”

1. Steady as She Goes (2006-10-23: Rock City, Nottingham, UK, 2006)

“The music on this single is great, and sort of hard to find with one cool instrumental as well as an amazing acoustic rendition of Steady, As She Goes (Original obviously on the single also). The CD case is the only thing I have a problem with as it broke when I first opened it. Kinda sad that the single can’t be in the case with the cover art anymore.”
