The Straze get lost in obsession on soaring new single ‘Limerence’

The Straze capture the exhilarating, maddening feeling of wanting somebody just beyond your reach on their atmospheric new single ‘Limerence’.

The Shrewsbury four-piece dive headfirst into the obsessive early stages of attraction, exploring that uneasy space where excitement, uncertainty and longing become almost impossible to separate. But rather than romanticising the feeling completely, ‘Limerence’ embraces its darker edges, allowing vulnerability and fixation to sit side by side.

Musically, The Straze give those emotions plenty of weight. Soaring guitars rise above driving rhythms and an emotionally charged vocal performance, balancing huge alternative-rock hooks with a grungier undercurrent that keeps the track feeling raw and unpredictable.

With its combination of muscular guitars and exposed emotion, ‘Limerence’ makes infatuation sound suitably enormous; thrilling, unsettling and always threatening to tip over into something more consuming.
