Wayne Banks steps into the spotlight with debut solo single ‘World We Share’

After years performing alongside some of rock’s most established names, Nottingham musician Wayne Banks has launched his solo career with the release of ‘World We Share’, the first preview of a debut album due later this year.

Best known for his work as a bassist with artists including Robin Gibb, Saxon and The Classic Rock Show, Banks now takes centre stage with a song that pairs soaring British guitar-pop with a message rooted in solidarity and resilience. Inspired by his upbringing in Nottingham, the single reflects on social inequality, class divisions and the importance of standing together in the face of adversity, all wrapped in a chorus designed for festival crowds.

Recorded at Old School Recording Studios in the Wirral and mastered by Geoff Pesche at Abbey Road Studios, the track showcases a blend of alternative rock, folk and classic Brit-rock influences while introducing him as a songwriter with a distinct voice of his own.
