Great Demise capture overwhelming anxiety on explosive new single ‘Claustrophobia’
California alternative punk outfit Great Demise return with ‘Claustrophobia’, an intense new release that transforms emotional turmoil into a barrage of uncompromising rock energy. Hailing from Chino, the independent trio continue to do everything in-house, from writing and recording through to mixing and mastering, giving the band complete control over their uncompromising sound.
Built around razor-sharp guitar work, thunderous percussion and unpredictable bursts of distortion, ‘Claustrophobia’ recreates the feeling of spiralling thoughts and mounting pressure with unrelenting precision. Rather than offering escape, the track immerses listeners in the chaos, using its restless momentum to mirror the emotional weight of modern life and the sense of losing control.
Made up of guitarist and vocalist Christian Blankenship, drummer Jake Sears, and live vocalist Cole Sears, Great Demise continue to carve out their own lane within alternative rock and punk. With its raw intensity, DIY ethos and fearless songwriting, ‘Claustrophobia’ stands as another powerful statement from a band determined to push both themselves and their sound to new extremes.
