7. Slow Death (2016)

Carnifex – Slow Death (2016, CD) - Discogs

“Legitimately one of the darkest and heaviest deathcore albums I’ve ever heard, and also probably the best. I went into this with every expectation that it would be trash, and I was proven drastically wrong. It’s one of those things that takes some getting used to in order to really appreciate, as when you first hear a breakdown you immediately react to it as being thrash.”

6. World War X (2019)

World War X - Album by Carnifex | Spotify

“Their deathcore used to be quite direct, short and to the point. This album is also short, but it has become more epic and there are some parts in which they seem to drift away from the pure Deathcore formula and more into death metal.”

5. The Diseased & The Poisioned (2008)

The Diseased and the Poisoned by Carnifex (Album, Deathcore): Reviews, Ratings, Credits, Song list - Rate Your Music

“The music here is standard deathcore, it serves it’s purpose. “In Coalesce With Filth and Faith” is an awesome song but everything else is pretty standard. Pretty good album as a whole really.”

4. Hell Chose Me (2010)

Hell Chose Me - song by Carnifex | Spotify

“Sweet. This band has steadily been improving on each album, and now they’re pretty much the best example of deathcore around. Excellent vocals, riffs, drumming, and most importantly song-writing abilities. This is not groundbreaking music, but it is music that pushes the boundaries of an over-stuffed genre. With a step up in technicality and a step down in the hardcore department, this album is pretty freaking good.”

3. Until I Feel Nothing (2011)

Until I Feel Nothing - Album by Carnifex | Spotify

“Carnifex said that this album was a combination of all of their album style rolled up into one and if I had read that quote before listening to this album, I might have avoided it. The vocals on this album are largely unchanged although I would say that the highs on this album do sound a little bit higher than usually, the lyrical themes on this album still suck just because I could care less about these relationship type themes. The riffs on this album are quite memorable from time to time, although some of them sound too much alike.”

2. Dead In My Arms (2007)

Carnifex - Dead in My Arms - Amazon.com Music

“Love this album. The production of this album is amazing. One of the other things that drew me to this band is the lyrical content. I can relate perfectly. Highly recommend this album, if you’re into deathcore and brutality! Great stuff. If anyone from the band is reading this, you guys rocked it with this album.”

1. Die Without Hope (2014)

Die Without Hope - Album by Carnifex | Spotify

“Lovely brutal and aggressive material. presented in a raw way is what Carnifex offers the listener. At times it has some elements from slam death as well. Well written material, and quite brutal vocal parts. The band manages to keep up the energy and brutality all the way through the album, and also uses a bunch of tempochanges etc to get a variety to the material. Enjoyable, and this just struck me in a weak spot. One of the better “extreme metal” albums I’ve heard in a while.”
