Chorduroy wrestle with the digital hive on fuzzy new single ‘Plugged In’

Chorduroy capture the exhausting contradiction of modern connectivity on ‘Plugged In’, an exhilarating new blast of fuzzy garage-psych.

Built around the brilliantly simple hook, “I wanna be part of the hive, but I don’t wanna be plugged in,” the track explores that increasingly familiar battle between wanting to participate online and desperately wanting to throw your phone away altogether.

It’s an idea Chorduroy attack with suitably restless energy. Fuzz-drenched guitars and garage-rock grit collide with psychedelic flourishes and the band’s instinct for infectious hooks, transforming digital fatigue into something raw, colourful and enormously fun.

Now settled into their current incarnation and preparing to take the show on the road, Chorduroy sound ready to make some serious noise. ‘Plugged In’ is a thrilling introduction to what they’ve become, even if they’d rather not spend all day online telling you about it.
