Dead Horse unleash glorious chaos on new single ‘Caught The Nonsense’
London/Kent trio Dead Horse have shared ‘Caught The Nonsense’, the riotous title-track from their forthcoming debut album, arriving September 11 via Sister 9 Recordings.
Made up of Kevin Lennon, Josh Kemp and Duncan Clark, the band throw garage rock, post-punk and noise into a blender, emerging with a gloriously unhinged combination of serrated guitar riffs, warped surf-rock flourishes and explosive saxophone. Add their taste for surreal lyricism and ‘Caught The Nonsense’ becomes an unpredictable introduction to a group clearly enjoying tearing up the rulebook.
Drawing comparisons with the likes of OSEES, Warmduscher, Viagra Boys and Cardiacs, Dead Horse balance sheer disorder with enough rhythmic punch to keep everything hurtling forward.
The single also arrives alongside a brilliantly eccentric retro gaming-inspired video, animated by Roger Valentine with illustrations from Andee Dee, perfectly complementing the band’s oddball universe.
