7. Solid Ground

“This is one oh John Anderson’s earlier albums. He has a rich mellow voice. His music is beautiful whether it is a soft melody or a rockabilly hit. I love the title song on this album Solid Ground. Highly recommend this!!”

6. Greatest Hits

“Listening to this CD is a journey back to what Country Music was before everyone went for crossover hits. This is Country music in its purest form. Anderson sings from the heart in songs like “I just came home to count the memories” and with a keen sense of humor in songs like “Chicken Truck”. Any fan of Country or of John Anderson will enjoy a trip down memory lane and start looking for another album to keep the fire lit.”

5. Seminole Wind

“I love the title song, but all the songs are great. I had this CD when it first came out and lost it, so I was excited to find it here. Since it arrived, it has been in my car CD player. John Anderson wrote some great songs, and I love his voice and the feeling he puts into his singing.”

4. 2

“Anderson followed up his debut with an equally strong album. By this time the formula for future Anderson albums was in place: strong honky-tonk originals, a love song or two, a novelty song and just plain hardcore country. Two songs from this album went Top 10 Country (“Chicken Truck” and “I’m Just An Old Chunk Of Coal”). There are no liner notes here, but the sound is excellent. Anderson was one of a select few who brought traditional Country back to the charts.”

3. Countrified

“J.A. has given a terrible lot of albums through the years, many of them mediocre I am sorry to say. But I really like this one, I like his voice, I think he peaked on this album (nobody else does).”

2. Country ‘Til I Die

“I don’t listen to much modern “country” music these days because it lacks John Anderson’s ability to transfer the feeling and sounds of what country music was when I was young. Listening to Anderson go from sad and blue to ballad to fun and light is a joy. He is one of the best ever and can make you listen to his songs over and over.”

1. Years

“The instrumentation supports Anderson’s strong, assured singing with sparkling layers of pedal steel, electric and acoustic guitars, crystal clear piano and percussion, and a lovely backing choir that comes in and out, giving some of these songs an ethereal quality. The songs are sometimes melancholy, but somehow positive and uplifting at the same time. The set opens with a driving rock ballad called “Years” that sets the tone for what’s to come.”
