10. Will He (In Tongues, 2017)

“Cue a haunting piano melody, that doesn’t overstay its welcome as it abruptly cuts to an even more darker beat. From the first track, the production is almost instantly recognizable as Joji’s sound, with the lo-fi piano that bleeds through the ambient drum loops, and the chilling background vocals that are drowned out from the other elements of the instrumental.”

9. Window (In Tongues, 2017)

“Window holds the saddest lyrics on the album that, while not unique or creative, gets the point across just fine, and I respect it for that reason.”

8. I Don’t Wanna Waste My Time (In Tongues, 2017)

“Joji is honestly my idol. He did whatever he wanted his whole life, and was super successful at it. Like if he wanted to go back to making filthy frank videos he’d still be super popular. It’s amazing.”

7. BESIDJU (BESIDJU, 2016)

“Listening to this makes me feel like I would feel if I were driving along the side of a beach during a thunderstorm, trying to get home to the love of my life after hours and hours of driving…just that melancholy, hopeful feeling of knowing that in just a little while, I can finally escape that ever-looming feeling of loneliness and isolation for just a little while longer…”

6. U Suck Charlie (U Suck Charlie, 2015)

“This song makes me feel sad and nostalgic but there is a mix of another feeling there isn’t a word for. It’s uncomfortable but comforting at the same time. It makes me feel like Im not very alive compared to when I was a kid. It reminds me that life really sucks but life was beautiful. I hope life can be beautiful again.”

5. Medicine (Medicine, 2014)

“This is a song that I could virtually loop forever without even noticing, one of the most heavenly instrumental hip hop beats I’ve ever heard and I am convinced in existence.”

4. WORLD$TAR MONEY (WORLD$TAR MONEY, 2016)

“I’m not depressed, it’s just that I am going through pretty hard times. And this song…. makes me feel better, like. in a fully new world, where i am with the person that I love.”

3. Pretty Boy (Nectar, 2020)

“Personally my favorite song from Joji because it’s catchy and Yachty verse went very well with this song. If the song vocals were more clearer, it would’ve been better but it still was great. The quarter way through right when it hits Lil Yachty verse was silly. It reminded me of the Filthy Franks persona.”

2. Thom (Thom 2015)

“This song is probably the most influential piece of music to me personally ever. I don’t think I’d be the same person I am today if I haven’t listened to it. the sheer beauty of his vocals on both this and the companion track, the fact this song exists nearly brings me to tears”

1. Unsaved Info (Unsaved Info 2016)

“Joji’s voice just has this very therapeutic tone to it throughout the entire track, accompanied with the faint harmonies that are layered throughout the background of the song. This is the type of song you could put on after a long hard day, and it will just instantly soothe you.”
