8. The Return

“This was a pretty good album, I liked it overall but I cant say that it was my favorite work of theirs (that still belongs to To The Pain), but the use of two guitarists really helps out tremendously with the sound of the band, I would like to see them do more solos though. Pretty much the only song I can recall off hand that I didn’t like was Razors, my two personal favorites on the album were Pins & Needles and Never Cared Before.”

7. Struggle

“The first nine tracks of this are great nu-metal. A little bit harder than the stuff I was into at the time, and a little different from other nu-metal. Note the extended version of ‘Hive’ on here that would eventually be cut down for Statement. The vocals are ferocious. Rapping, singing, shouting.”

6. To the Pain

“Nonpoint is a great, aggressive band. Sometimes they tend to go mainstream in some song but hey, they are good anyway. Songs like “Bullet with a name on it” and “Theres going to be a war” with a thrasy sound just makes you crazy.”

5. The Poison Red

“This thing is a groove MONSTER. heavy, pissed off, melodic, everything. It seems this album is a bit more melodic than The Return, but actually may be heavier. It is certainly groovier, you could break your neck headband ing to this thing. I really like the fact that they affect the more melodic tracks, almost sounds like something from Development at times. Fans of this band will LOVE THIS.”

4. Vengeance

“Regardless of who released Vengeance, as soon as you listen to it you’ll know that you’re listening to Nonpoint. They haven’t changed much and this album feels like a natural progression from To the Pain where the band took on a more hard rock oriented approach with little of their early career rap-metal influence showing through.”

3. Development

“Nonpoint may have left many fans dangling after their major record label debut, Statement. Their chunky rap metal sound didn’t really give them an edge on the competition. But now, with their second album, Development, they have made their own sound, throwing away the rap/metal, and switching it to a more melodic approach to nu-metal. “

2. Recoil

“Recoil, their 5th album, follows that summation pretty well. It’s chock of energy as all Nonpoint albums are. There’s a bunch a filler, a few good songs, a few bad ones, nothing to write home about, but nothing to just toss aside either. What Nonpoint has going for them is the incorporation of groove into their sound that almost makes their brand of Nu Metal danceable. It does make them stand out in a sea of generic bands.”

1. Statement

“I love how WHAT A DAY paints a picture when he is singing it you can already visualize a video in your head from that song. The guitars are raw and loud and I am telling you now he rips it wide open on DOUBLE STAKKED and I mean wide open .Any guitar fan should be able to hear that from the start. They do play around with a sort of rap vocal in small parts but they don’t over do it and these days they don’t do it at all.”
