Red Light Acid Test turn up the desire on darkly seductive ‘Little Death’

London four-piece Red Light Acid Test plunge into the darker corners of attraction on ‘Little Death’, a deliciously heavy new single that provides the final preview of their forthcoming debut album.

Built around a brutally fuzzed staccato guitar riff, the track immediately locks into a thick low-end groove, while dark, crooning vocals bring a seductive edge to the band’s warped alternative rock. It’s tense, physical and wonderfully menacing, capturing the intensity that has become central to their live reputation.

Lyrically, ‘Little Death’ explores attraction, desire and lust alongside the boundaries that separate consensual intimacy from harm. That contradiction sits at the centre of a song described by the band as being for romantics with darker hearts.

Formed in London in 2019, Red Light Acid Test have developed their sound around choppy rhythms, staggered guitars and brooding melodies, deliberately pushing their music away from conventional rock territory.
