20. Everchanging (The Unraveling, 2001)

“This song is melodical and lyrical genius! It’s impossible to stop listening to it once you have heard it from start to finish! The overall melodic nature and changing tempo of the song is irresistible! I love the diversity of the lyrics and the song meaning! It is very, very well written!”

19. Dancing for Rain (Siren Song of the Counter Culture, 2004)

“It makes me sad to see this song being at such a low spot. If it would be more popular, I bet it would be in the top 3, along with Black Masks and Gasoline. It’s definitely better than Savior. Whoever didn’t listen to this song yet, do it now!

18. Like the Angel (Revolutions per Minute, 2003)

“Love the new stuff, but that album is hands down the best and this is the best song on it, to overlook entirely is insulting to old fans.”

17. Rumors of My Demise Have Been Greatly Exaggerated (Siren Song of the Counter Culture, 2004)

“The emotion in time voice is amazing, it gives the brilliantly crafted lyrics that much more meaning. I think the reason this and other songs from siren song of the counter culture aren’t higher on the list is because most rise against fans haven’t heard them. If they all did, these would be higher up. This, swing life away, paper wings, tip the scales, and dancing for rain are stand outs for me, the rest from the album are also great. Of coarse, I love all rise against albums, the sufferer and the witness being my favorite, I just thought siren song deserved far more then it’s getting.”

16. Behind Closed Doors (The Sufferer & the Witness, 2006)

“This song reminds me to never give up but instead, ‘rise against’ any challenge that may come in my way. Truly amazing and inspiring. Plus, this was the first song that introduced me to Rise Against in the first place. So actually it’s amazing, inspiring AND sentimental.”

15. Endgame (Endgame, 2011)

“All of their songs are good but this is one of the best in my opinion. The guitar is amazing, lyrics are phenomenal but what ever like I said EVERYTHING IS GOOD!”

14. Audience of One (Appeal to Reason, 2008)

“The lyrics of this song are so beautiful, artistic and meaningful. The rhythm blows my mind every time I hear it, for me it’s by far their best, which is saying a lot.”

13. Paper Wings (Siren Song of the Counter Culture, 2004)

“Not many songs can captivate raw emotion, and the few song that do tend not to be very successful. However, this is one of the few songs that does. This song has put into words what so many people live through every day, the struggle in one’s mind and heart that nobody seems to understand. Paper Wings is what you get when you pour out all of your emotions and feelings for someone when you just can’t take it any longer. “

12. Survive (The Sufferer & the Witness, 2006)

“Great message, great lyrics, great energy. Perhaps their most successful song that didn’t have a video clip. The first song I’ve ever listened to by rise against, and many albums later it’s still my favourite despite the fact my favourite album has been Appeal to Reason!”

11. Ready to Fall (The Sufferer & the Witness, 2006)

“The message and lyrics is just great. The emotion in the vocals are just awesome. All the instruments in the songs come together perfectly.”

10. Make It Stop (September’s Children) (Endgame, 2011)

“It is so moving and I honestly cry like hell when I listen to it or watch the video. Think of the september children and what this song stands for. The world needs the change that music can bring. Our generation the teenagers don’t listen to lectures and rants, we pay attention to music and what our bands tell us. Truly its like a cult.”

9. Injection (The Sufferer & the Witness, 2006)

“Epic. Rise against in all their glory. Injection is the reason as to why I have fallen for Rise Against to begin with. Their songs are like ecstasies, and they mean more than people allow them to mean. Unlike so many bands and artists which are faulty, Rise against has proven to ingrain themselves in their music, and I see this most in Injection.”

8. Swing Life Away (Siren Song of the Counter Culture, 2004)

“I really love this song. It’s calm and refreshing after listening to some of their other songs. It perfectly describes how one should live: loving and care-free. Who cares if you have a low paying job? As long as your making it, you’ll be fine. There’s probably some deeper meaning in this song, but I like the simple ideas presented.”

7. Give It All (Siren Song of the Counter Culture, 2004)

“One of my favourite pieces of text of all time. It really makes you just wanna live your life to the fullest, understand that nothing is impossible. My personal favourite Rise Against song”

6. Satellite (Endgame, 2011)

“When you’ve heard this song over 100 times and loved it just the same, maybe even more, you know this is a good song. It’s pretty much my favorite Rise Against song and if it isn’t their best song, it deserves to be in the top 5.”

5. Re-Education (Through Labor) (Appeal to Reason, 2008)

“All their songs a so touchy and they persuade us to understand the problems that the world is facing today and how we can prevent them. If I want to spend money to listen to a band it would always be Rise Against and Linkin Park.”

4. The Good Left Undone (The Sufferer & the Witness, 2006)

“This song is simply amazing! I can never listen to this song without having to sing along to it. Everyone I know loves this song, even my sister and parents. If you have never heard this song live, look it up on YouTube because Rise Against plays this song live better than any other songs they play, and I would know because I’ve seen them live and watch videos of them all the time. Vote for this song, it is truly the best of Rise Against.”

3. Hero of War (Appeal to Reason, 2008)

“This is just a great song and it shares with us why we should be thankful for our United States, and it’s been around my childhood for as long s I remember this is my favorite song out of this album. It just truly states what war is about and what would happen if we didn’t win World War 1 or 2? Would we even be here? Freedom of speech? Freedom of religion? Would that even exist if it wasn’t for our Veterans? That is why I love this song. You have to know the meaning of the songs to actually enjoy them. If you don’t why even HAVE songs? That is why I LOVE this song. ” It’s a flag that I trust “

2. Prayer of the Refugee (The Sufferer & the Witness, 2006)

“That creepy guitar riff that opens the song. The chorus that hits you right in the face. That melodic instrumental. Everything about this song is fantastic.”

1. Savior (Appeal to Reason, 2008)

“Slightly overrated song in my opinion. It’s probably listed as the top song, because it’s their most popular one and lots of people didn’t listen to some of their less popular songs yet. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great song and definitely one of their best. However, personally I think there are few songs I would rate higher than Savior.”
