SP’s unleash 46 seconds of werewolf-fuelled punk chaos just in time for Halloween
LA garage-punk outfit SP’s are getting into the Halloween spirit with their gloriously unhinged new single, ‘We’re Werewolves Not Swearwolves’.
Clocking in at just 46 seconds, the track is a blistering burst of hardcore-inspired punk, packing frantic guitars, breakneck rhythms and plenty of howling into its ridiculously brief runtime.
Inspired partly by the cult comedy What We Do in the Shadows, the song was spontaneously created during the final minutes of a band rehearsal, capturing the group’s chaotic energy and irreverent humour.
The single offers another entertaining glimpse of SP’s forthcoming debut album, Dating at the End of the World, arriving 26 March 2027 through Baby Robot Records.
With echoes of Dead Kennedys, Minutemen and Misfits, SP’s deliver a wonderfully ridiculous Halloween anthem that proves great punk songs don’t need to stick around for long.
