12. Voices of the Voiceless

“As you can see, this is where the cd loses a bit of momentum, this track is a basic fast paced rocker, nothing too special. I really like Zach’s lyrics on this one. Love the intro too.”

11. Born as Ghosts

“Another darker weird song, the verses are rather forgettable while the chorus saves the song. Another one of my favorites. Alot of effects on this one too.”

10. Ashes in the Fall

“Ah yes, now we’re back with Ashes In The Fall. The beginning of this song sounds like the Halloween theme. This is another darker song, and the ending makes it. Very good song. Has a cool intro like all the songs on this album. The best part is definitely at the end when hes screaming “Ashes in the Fall”.

8. War Within a Breath

“What a way to end this cd. The beginning feels alot like Mic Check where you think it’s going to be another just rap song, when the heavy guitar kicks in and it rocks. The best part is without a doubt the bridge.”

7. Maria

“This song is awesome. It reminds me of the end of “Freedom”, when Zach is sayin “Freedom, for Maria”. Maria fits in great into the album. Zach’s lyrics are meaningful and show his beliefs and thoughts.”

6. Mic Check

“This is an all out funk rap piece. But one can’t argue with how cool Tom’s guitar effect on this song sounds. I am a guitar player and dont think I will ever figure out the guitar for this song. Tom’s Best work.”

5. Born of a Broken Man

“Another one of my favorites. This song is very dark, and is probably the heaviest on the cd. The ending is very cool. This song is a different from the other songs. It’s not political, just a straight up rock song.”

4. Calm Like a Bomb

“Another one of their greatest songs. Tom makes an amazing guitar for this one. I especially like Tim’s little bass solo in the begining. Best bass on the cd probably, this song is great. The verses are slow and rappy, while the chorus picks up and rocks.”

3. Sleep Now In the Fire

“My favorite song on this album. The video is amazing, my all-time favorite. One of my favorite Rage songs of all time. Fast paced guitar intro with the thumping bass/snare drum combination. Very cool.”

2. Testify

“In all of Rage’s defiant individuality, they certainly never created a bad album, but even by lofty standards, Battle of Los Angeles is a watershed that surpasses all expectations. The drums and guitars that announce the album on “Testify” are as bold as any song they’ve made, but this time there’s something else – the trace of a melody or two!”

1. Guerrilla Radio

“Another RATM classic, and probably their biggest hit. Alot like Testify, this is a fast paced rocker and I like the lyrics to this one. “Guerrilla Radio”, a popular radio song is easily the best song on the album that never gets stale. It seems like it is so short because it’s that great, but its really three minutes long.
