The Brothers Union find hope through uncertainty on ‘Another Remedy’

New Jersey alt-rock band The Brothers Union balance nostalgia, doubt and optimism on their new single ‘Another Remedy’, transforming a song first written nearly a decade ago into an energetic full-band release.

Driven by crashing drums and bright guitars, the track carries the melodic immediacy associated with bands such as The Gaslight Anthem, The Menzingers and Taking Back Sunday. Beneath that upbeat exterior, however, is a more reflective examination of the struggle to keep moving forward during periods of uncertainty.

Vocalist and bassist Sean O’Reilly describes ‘Another Remedy’ as being about maintaining faith when circumstances become difficult. Its idea of “holding onto ghosts” represents the memories, relationships and regrets from the past that can become difficult to leave behind, creating a tension between despair and the belief that things can eventually improve.

Produced, engineered, mixed and mastered by Rob Chiarappa at DIMM Studios, ‘Another Remedy’ retains the reflective core of its original incarnation while giving The Brothers Union considerably more room to turn that uncertainty into something uplifting.
